Join
We are always looking for motivated students and researchers to join COSMIC Lab. If you are interested in tackling fundamental system bottlenecks through hardware-software co-design, please review the guidelines below to apply and get in touch.
Who we are looking for
Candidates are expected to have a core understanding of computer architecture and operating systems, supported by programming proficiency in C/C++ and Python. More than extensive prior credentials, we prioritize the ability to analyze fundamental system bottlenecks across broad computing stacks for AI and beyond.
How to apply
If you are interested in joining, please email the PI. Contacting the lab and applying to the graduate program are separate steps. Admission is handled by the institute, and the GIST graduate admissions site carries the schedule and the required documents.
Please use the subject line [GIST Application] Your Name (Ph.D. / M.S. / Intern), keeping the one that applies, and include:
- your CV, as a PDF
- your academic transcript
- when you would like to start (for example, Spring 2027)
We usually reply within a week, though it can take longer during busy periods.
